Who she is
- Oracle of Fate (future / downstream) — chosen for the post over Lucias (a valedictorian honor), the spark of Lucias’s rage. Her Truesight sees only Xeros’s true angelic Aasimar form — the form hidden by his cursed circlet (his horns) — i.e. she alone sees who he really is.
- House au Ocellus; father Gens au Ocellus.

With Xeros — the chord
- Xeros (Oracle of Lore) tutored her for years; their method to retain oracle-knowledge was to write songs and sing them together → the origin of the love-songs and of the Medinian chord itself (the two notes learned to harmonize, house-au-regulus). When they later play one together at the Engine, it fires (ch5-pearl-story-direction §7). The relationship is the instrument that saves the world.
- Once best friends with Lucias (a “mean girl”); Lenz confided her love for Xeros, Lucias weaponized it.
The sacrifice (she breaks his heart to save his life)
- Praetos brokered her marriage to Justus (a deal with her father Gens au Ocellus). She accepts it — to push Xeros away — because as Oracle of Fate she has seen that if he stays in Pearl, he will be unmade (ch5-harmonic-time-theory §29). The same love behind the original exile: she engineers his removal to save his existence, and lets him believe the worst of her.
The loop — Lenz = Gog (the misdirect)
- Gog is Lenz who walked the single-note path and lost Xeros (Gog wears Lenz’s angelic face — “a form that lost Xeros”). The Lenz with Xeros at the end is the same soul, now on the Medinian path — two windings of one being (the rational loop vs. the irrational ascent, ch5-harmonic-time-theory §27–28).
- Party misdirect: because Gog wears her face and she pushed Xeros away / accepts Justus, the party is led to believe the current Lenz is evil — even Foulclaw’s True Union “proves” it (it shows her failed → Gog winding, not her live one). The turn: her cruelty was love, and she is the redeemed retry, not the villain. Completing the chord is her ascension.
