- Owns the catalogs (and the artists). Bought the rights to Xeros’s “Year Xeros” catalog when his band collapsed (one of the blows that breaks Xeros, ch5-reveals-foreshadowing §E), plus many prominent artists — Ladonna, Roses & Gunses, Tickleback.
- Ladonna is his slave by contract (a devil’s bargain). Her new songs are coded pleas to Foulclaw to save her — the song-as-hidden-message: a melody smuggling a true coordinate, the campaign’s whole mechanism in miniature (cf. the Pearls; Xeros & Lenz’s knowledge-songs, house-au-regulus).
- Foulclaw’s hook: Foulclaw now has a relationship with Ladonna → personal stakes to break Sa Muhell’s contract.

Catalog-buyout = soul/coordinate harvest — buying an artist’s work = buying their imprinted coordinates (rhymes with the Mecca pilgrimage harvest, city-of-pearl §10). Is Sa Muhell an arm of the Pearl elites’ coordinate collection, or Gog’s? Either way, a “contract that owns your soul” is truth-sealing in commercial drag (ch5-harmonic-time-theory §29) — a low-stakes echo of the high-stakes unmaking.
