A timid Owlin sorcerer, lifelong devotee of the Church of ITYS, and proud holder of a degree in “applied proselytizing.” Molts his quills when nervous, hands out pamphlets mid-combat, and once converted a pack of spider-monsters with a borrowed violin.
Overview
Foulclaw is the party’s heart and its evangelist — a socially isolated, herbology-dabbling Owlin who spent most of his life at the University / monastery of ITYS, deeply converted to the doctrine if not the campus culture. He flies silent scout duty, leans on Mage Hand and Sleep, and wields the unpredictable Scroll of Jubilee / Lamentation. His whole arc is the tension between his faith and the morally-flexible things adventuring asks of him — including, painfully, learning to lie.

Backstory
“Applied proselytizing”: his self-designed major; he attended the church’s university out of a deep conversion to its founder, but soured on the institution’s culture (vs. its doctrine).
Met Xeros during an internship/adventure — “a little self-discovery on this journey.”
Herbology & medicine: time spent isolated with plants gave him healing know-how.
Chapter 1 Arc
The Answer Is Conversion: uses Xeros’s violin to “speak the language of spiders” and converts the Choldrith — creating his first disciple, Amla (Ch 1.1).
Learning to lie → telling the truth: the shrink subplot arc where he confesses the truth to Blossom (Ch 1.4).
The finale kills:decapitates the Bull with a borrowed Moon-Touched Rapier, then lands the killing intimidation on Fauna Kneeler — leaving him traumatized, his “religious instincts gone” (Ch 1.7).
