Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by an Oracle of Fate connected to the bifurcation paradigm). The future-facing twin of the Pearl of Lore. Used by Oracles of Fate to record Visions of Fate bound to a coordinate.
Mechanically identical to the Pearl of Lore in every respect — a glassy 3-inch orb, light as air, wispy almost-recognizable smoke; the prime → imprint → reveal → project → chain cycle; the orientation controls (upright = stream, 90° = infinite zoom, 180°+squeeze = oscillation flip / opalescent black); the tether rules (release = safe reconnect, forced removal = stranded consciousness); and the chained rarities (True Coordinate / True Union / True Seal).
The one difference
A Fate coordinate must be DOWNSTREAM of the current bifurcation paradigm — the future (where the stream is going), where the Pearl of Lore reaches upstream, into the settled past (where it came from). (Natural river: past = upstream, future = downstream. Corrected 2026-06-27.)
▸ Theory-tie — the twins aren't symmetric in content
Fate (downstream / future) is the chaotic fan of un-collapsed possibilities → a Pearl of Fate should show a superposed / probabilistic diorama (several possibilities flickering until they settle). Lore (upstream / past) is the settled record → a Pearl of Lore shows a single fixed scene. (future = many, past = one — distinguishes the twins mechanically AND matches the theory.) The present is the collapse between them.
