Arc Antagonist — at large
A bat-winged demon and the true power behind Fauna Kneeler — her “master,” who puppeted her by a magical umbilical cord. Revealed when the cord was cut, he laughed “idiot peasants, I will get you for this” and fled, vowing revenge. The new over-arc villain.

Overview
Damanos is the shadow behind Chapter 1’s finale. Fauna Kneeler — the genocidal Crew politician — was never acting alone: she was tethered to Damanos by a glowing umbilical cord that made her immune to all direct attacks. When Xeros severed the cord, the demon was exposed floating outside the greenhouse dome; his tendrils retracted into him and he flew off vowing revenge.
He is connected to the nine-pointed sigil (interlocked triangles bounded in a circle) branded on Fauna’s inner arm — an unidentified cult marker worth tracking. As a demon-lord patron behind a mortal pawn, he echoes the structure of Gog behind Zen’s Forgotten Hour — a possible thread to pull.
Appearances
- 250412-ch2.9 (⏱ 04:21:17:13) — A flying demon working for Xen alongside the Dreamweaver; unlike the Dreamweaver (killed this session) Demonos escaped and did not die.
- 251009-ch3.7 (⏱ 05:20:41) — A name written beside the circled city of Uvan on Mutatio’s secret map; the party recalls Dominos as a villain from Cineday who was controlling someone, and several missing-persons arrows point to Uvan/Dominos.
- 251023-ch3.8 (⏱ 03:01:00) — A previously-encountered villain named in the larger-plot lore recap as having ‘been up to no good.’
- 260515-ch4.6 (⏱ 21:18:18) — The party (via Astaroth’s old papers) reads that Astaroth was commissioned by Dominos to make a clone army, for which the merfolk were considered ideal material.
