Overview
Fauna is the Chapter 1 villain: a “lightning-countenance” Aasimar of the militarist Crew faction on El Cinede, obsessed with animals (her office is full of statuettes and teleport-warded to admit only beasts) and with a tidy, heart-dotted handwriting that damns her. Her diary lays out a “final solution” — exterminate every person of Kouréas, take captives beneath Sidene and mutate them with Veil-Tear magic into a zombie army, divert taxes to the experiments, and rig the parliamentary vote into a coup so she wins regardless.
Appearances
- 240626-ch1.2 (⏱ 01:25:18) — A ‘creepy’, Crew-aligned Cidene parliamentarian framed as the foil to Mars Von Eck in Parliament.
- 241113-ch2.1 (⏱ 00:11:59) — An in-world figure referenced by Xeros as having tried forced ‘convert or die’ conversion, in a joking comparison to Foulclaw’s missionary zeal.

The Puppet
In the finale she lures the party into her greenhouse (an indestructible adamantine dome) for a “talk.” She’s revealed to be invulnerable — spells and missiles stop dead against a purple aura — because she’s tethered by a glowing umbilical cord to her master, the demon Damanos. Only after Basil and Xeros sever the cord does she become mortal. Cornered and intimidated by Foulclaw, she weeps a single tear — “I hate you so much!” — and lunges throat-first onto his blade. A nine-pointed sigil (interlocked triangles in a circle) marks her inner arm.
Notable
- Charmed and flustered by Xeros’s open flirting during the vote — which she loses.
- Her experiments were what jammed teleportation across the region; her death restored the portals.
