The Four Horsemen — the first to fall
A Half-Orc rogue (a potter at heart), one of Zen’s resurrected former party. The orc whose death and resurrection started Zen’s necromancy in the first place — and who, dying again, just wanted to go back to a quiet life of pottery.

Overview
Krengrum is the tragic heart of the Horsemen: the companion whose death first drove Zen to attempt resurrection (bridging the void), birthing his necromancy and lichdom. Resurrected as a hulking ogre-amalgam, he’s disintegrated by Lashara’s crossbow (“Hey, mouse. Say cheese.”) in Ch 0.3 — and, dying, flips off Laurence Shâdos and laments: “I should have stayed in that town and just been a potter. Life was fine. I had a stable income.”
Appearances
- 240208-ch0.2 (⏱ 01:51:17) — Reanimated giant-orc Horseman (Jesse’s former PC) — the only one who truly died in the prior campaign; turned female by one of Zen’s cruel jokes.
- 240222-ch0.3 (⏱ 01:10:54) — Reanimated orc Horseman pulled from the Abyss and forced to serve Zen ~1000 years; his earlier death drove Zen’s first cross-Void resurrection; freed when his runes are dispelled.
- 240307-ch0.4 (⏱ 00:38:30) — A half-orc friend of Zen’s, rescued from the infernal cells; killed by the party (twice) and appears among the dead specters Zen was trying to revive.
- 251023-ch3.8 (⏱ 03:27:11) — A dead former player character (‘your first guy’) who died after rolling three natural-1 death saves in a row; his death led the group to the school.
