Overview
Digby is the party’s exposition fountain in Ch 1.2. Charmed by Xeros, he lays out the city’s two great fault lines — Lower Gates vs the High Spire, and The Crew (conquer the groundlings) vs The Host (trade with them) — and name-drops the landmarks and politicians (Mars Von Eck, Fauna Kneeler) that define the rest of the chapter. He is, by his own description, “in the business of selling propane and propane accessories.”
