Ally — Host Politician
A tall, handsome, endlessly-talking Aasimar champion of The Host — the pro-trade faction that wants to open relations with the groundlings. He recruits the party as his living “photo op” for the big vote, and becomes their inside man once they hand him a genocidal diary.

Overview
Mars is the moderate face of El Cinede’s politics — leader of The Host, who believe “the time of isolation is over” and want trade with Kouréas below. A classic politician (he demands the vote from the dais — “we vote, We Vote”) who uses the party as proof that the groundlings are people worth allying with. He was working with the scout Manny to win the parliamentary vote against Fauna Kneeler.
Story
Arc
- The turn: Xeros (disguised as a janitor) shows him Fauna’s diary — “you might have just saved our country.” Mars becomes a genuine ally (Ch 1.6).
- He shelters Manny in his office, gives the party tunnel passage, and after the finale covers up the killing and rushes them home through the restored portal (Ch 1.7).
- Foulclaw tries and fails to convert him to the Church.
