Flying Island
A sky island — part of the floating landmass network above Kouréas.
El Cinede is a flying island floating above the western coast of Kouréas. All flying islands in the world carry the “El” prefix — this naming convention identifies them as sky islands. Also referred to as the Floating City.
The El Naming Convention
All flying islands are prefixed with “El” — a naming pattern that identifies floating landmasses at a glance on maps and in records.

The Quiet Year (Session 0)
- In Spring (Week 8) a southern earthquake tore a chunk of the island free near the The Veil-Tear; it now floats hundreds of feet up, in the clouds.
- An almost Edenic, Garden-of-Eden area formed on it (Week 11), and it holds its own bell tower echoing the The Bell Tower.
- In Fall an aasimar flew south toward this floating rock by the Veil-Tear.
- A century later this flying island is known as El Cinede.
