A terraced cliff-port built around a half-mile waterfall — and, a century ago, the site of one of Kaethos’s great atrocities. The high elves who ruled it as gods drank the river dry while the beast-folk below carried their water; then the House of Lycoris came to burn them all out under a sky of purple veil-stone haze.

Overview
Greenport is a port city on the eastern coast of Kouréas, in The Lift region — but its deepest canon is the Fall of Greenport, a century-old massacre the party witnessed firsthand in a chronomancy vision (The Purple Filth of Greenport). In that era it was a terraced cliff-port built around a half-mile waterfall, water-powered top to bottom: the high elves of the upper bowl hoarded the water and ruled the animalia (owlin, harengon, tortle, leonin, kenku, tabaxi) as slaves — explicitly framed as Egypt/Israel bondage.
It was sacked by the House of Lycoris and its The Menagerie generals to exterminate the animalia, in a genocidal pact between the elves and the death-god Gog. The city sat at a ley-line crossroads (the midpoint between El Cinede/Pearl and the Eritessa surge), which is what let cross-ley-line chronomancy displace the party’s souls into the bodies of three of its animals.
Sites of the Fall
- The Temple of Selûne — the moon goddess’s owl-clergy ran a free hospital; their “cracker of long rest” is a healing-potion sacrament.
- The Temple of Gog — the kobold death-cult complicit in the genocide; its disguised High Cleric was the Lycorisian tortle general Kral.
- The Rookery — home of the Apostles of ITYS, Greenport’s real-time historians; their future-dated scrolls survive in a pocket of holding.
- A Temple of Hephaestus (mechanical/tinkering, “Lashara-esque”) rounds out the temple ward.
Significance
The Fall is a ch5 keystone: it introduces the House of Lycoris and its six-fingered crest, the Menagerie, and — above all — Saint Gray, the reincarnated demigod who pulled the party out of the vision with a single command: “Come find me.”
