Overview
Shar is the dark of the moon — the shadowed half of a single celestial body whose other half is her sister Selûne, the light. The two are one whole, forever in flux: as one waxes in power the other wanes, the eternal rhythm of the lunar cycle written into the gods themselves.
Shar belongs to the Ekalian alignment (the Purple Twilight), but she is not severed from the light. Just as Selûne is the Oruvian Gods’ open connection to the Ekalian, Shar is the Ekalian Gods’ open connection back to the Oruvian — through her sister. Between them, the two moon-sisters form the hinge between the two pantheons, the one place where the Golden Dawn and the Purple Twilight still touch.
