Overview

Jock (Jacques) is a 6’5” pirate/ship-captain whose “first love is the sea,” wielding a corpse-slayer shotgun and a wandering accent (Schwarzenegger → Scottish → Viking). Across The Forgotten Hour he loses an eye (and flips his eyepatch to the empty socket), is the one party member Zen “couldn’t charm,” and carries a tragic past connection to Laurence Shâdos (the crossed-off Medina Monastery roster). In the rebuild he sails off to explore Frostbjorn and the Orchard — and is dead by Chapter 1. His descendant line includes Gypsy Jenkins’s “Jenkins” legend.

Appearances

  • 250626-ch3.3 (⏱ 02:22:26) — Forgotten Hour hero + famed explorer; TBD’s great-grandfather, and TBD is his reincarnation. Vanished on an expedition past the enchanted forest with Levitas.
  • 240125-ch0.1 (⏱ 00:19:27) — PC-hero (Chris); Ranger, half-Goliath/half-dwarf explorer-sailor; loses an eye; wields the Corpse Slayer Shotgun; pockets the D20 rune-relic. A Forgotten Hour founder.
  • 240208-ch0.2 (⏱ 00:20:08) — Ranger PC; set ablaze by Pimp, fires his Corpse Slayer Shotgun, and strikes with a sun blade against his favored foe.
  • 240222-ch0.3 (⏱ 00:13:45) — Ranger PC; scouts in stealth, fires his Corpse Slayer Shotgun / crossbow on a ‘disintegrate setting’, and argues the Horsemen are controlled, not willing.
  • 240307-ch0.4 (⏱ 00:23:42) — PC (Chris); a not-very-bright ranger/cleric-dip sailor (Zephyr Strike, Spike Growth, Conjure Barrage, Locate Creature, Sacred Flame, corpse-slayer shotgun, Stone’s Endurance). Taunts Zen into wasting attacks on him; in the epilogue sails off to discover Frostbjorn, the orchard and a new Veil Tear.
  • 250816-ch3.5 (⏱ 04:31:48) — A legendary explorer, TBD’s great-grandfather and a founder-hero with a house at the university. Lost at sea after an exploration journey with an aarakocra; his fate is unknown and marked only by a monument down south.

  • 251023-ch3.8 (⏱ 03:30:11) — TBD’s great-great-grandfather, a voyager whose accomplishments and unknown resting place inspire TBD; invoked via a History check to fuel his Spell Sniper attempts.
  • 251204-ch3.10 (⏱ 21:15:09) — An aarakocra NPC; he is noticeably absent from the saints/force-ghosts, which the party takes to mean he may still be alive somewhere.
  • 260320-ch4.2 (⏱ 22:26:35) — TBD’s great-grandfather, a legendary ‘great explorer’ and seaman of the seas with three things named after him; TBD name-drops him to the ferryman and Cicely.
  • 241113-ch2.1 (⏱ 00:14:57) — Famous sea explorer and TBD’s great-grandfather; fought Zen during The Forgotten Hour. Chris debates whether he is great- or great-great-grandfather and says he is still alive.
  • 250724-ch3.4 (⏱ 03:37:50) — TBD’s sailor great-great-grandfather and a founder-hero; his (supposed) grave/memorial Bjornsend (‘Bjorn’s End’) is marked on the map.
  • 251118-ch3.9 (⏱ 01:48:26) — TBD’s grandfather and one of the Heroes of the Forgotten Hour; party hopes he may still be alive.
  • 260701-ch5.1 (⏱ 01:28:17) — Forgotten Hour hero and founder of the Bjornegan treasure-hunting/exploration faction; TBD’s great-grandfather. Traveled to a Veil-Tear (near Eritessa / Mals Obit) and found a death army (the Children’s Crusade origin lore).
